This year our Big Day Out incorporates celebrating 100 years of the RAF. Lunch and refreshments are also provided making the entire event free to attend paid for by the Institute of Physics. This event is for anyone teaching physics to secondary school pupils and/or sixth form students, technicians also sometimes come along.
A full day of free physics CPD from the Stimulating Physics Network and the IOP Teacher Network. Teachers, trainees and technicians are all welcome, whether you are a physics specialist or not.

10.30 – 11.30: Workshop 1 (RAF 100, Neodymium Magnets, Do Physics)*
11.30 – 11.45: Break
11.45 – 12.45: Workshop 2 (Rockets, Equipment provider, Do Physics)*
12.45 – 13.30: Lunch
13.30 – 2.30: Workshop 3 (Thermal Physics, Neodymium magnets, RAF 100)*
2.30 – 3.30: Speed Networking**
3.30 – 3.45: Goody bags and close

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Train to Cosford Rail station then a 1/2 mile walk/taxi to the museum. Cars can park on site for free by the cold war hangar.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. We have a register of expected attendees and you simply give your name to the reception desk.
Can I update my registration information?
No. Once you have registered that is it but you can contact the organiser.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?
No. Your ticket is unique to you and is not transferable.
