How we count time in years, seasons, months, weeks and days are all governed by the movement of the Earth and other bodies in the Solar System. In this session we will look at simple, practical ways to model the geometry of the Sun – Earth – Moon system to explain the changing seasons, the phases of the moon and more.
We will also reflect on the newly released DOMAINS CPD videos on Space. In particular, we recommend you view the video ’11-14 Scale of Space’. Colleagues may wish to indicate specific issues that they would like to discuss using the “additional requirements” box when booking to attend. Please feel free to bring along any questions you have.
