This online CPD session is part of the IOP’s DOMAINS programme and is aimed at teachers of key stage five. This is a great opportunity to network with others in Yorkshire and the North East who are currently teaching key stage five physics.
The focus of this session will be ways of teaching Electricity, including reflecting on the new IOP DOMAINS electricity CPD videos on IOPSpark. We would encourage you to watch some of these videos before the session, though it is not essential and we are sure you will still get a lot out of the session if you chose to save the videos for a later time!
We will explore misconceptions held by students and how we can use some practical activities to overcome these. By the end of this session you will know what the most common misconceptions are and some ways to address these.

Who is this event suitable for?
This event is for all teachers of physics and will cover key areas within the secondary physics curriculum. Experienced IOP coaches will host the session and will be there to expand on the content, answer your questions and provide support.
This is a regional event. We welcome colleagues from other regions, but priority will be given to colleagues from this region.
