Session Objectives

This online CPD session is part of the IOP’s DOMAINS programme and is aimed at NQTs, ECTs and Trainees. This is a great opportunity to network with others in Yorkshire and the North East who are currently in training or have recently finished training.

The focus of this session will be ways of teaching energy, including reflecting on the new IOP DOMAINS energy videos available here.  We would encourage you to watch some of these videos before the session.

We will explore misconceptions held by students and how we can use some practical activities to overcome these. By the end of this session you will know what the most common misconceptions are and some ways to address these.

Please feel free share any questions you have during the session, or email the coach prior to the session starting, contact details can be found below.

Who is this event suitable for?

This event is for ECTs, NQTs and Trainees. It will focus on content and skills needed for those early in their careers and will be based on the new IOP DOMAINS energy videos.  Experienced IOP coaches will host the session and will be there to expand on the content, answer your questions and provide support.
