This session is part of the IOP DOMAINS online CPD programme and covers aspects of the quantum and nuclear domain. We will be exploring ways to model half-life and thinking about the many amazing applications of radioisotopes. We’ll also look at ways to develop students understanding of the decay equations.

We will also reflect on the DOMAINS CPD videos on matter and nuclear physics and would encourage you to browse some of these videos before the session if you can. If there any specific issues that you would like to discuss during the session, please list them in the “additional requirements” box when booking and we will do our best to address them.  Alternatively, please feel free to bring along any questions you have.

Who is this event suitable for?
This event is for all Teachers, especially ECTs, NQTs and Trainees teaching age range 14 – 16 or KS4 physics and will cover key areas within the secondary physics curriculum.
