In this session, we will look at the elements of space that are typically covered at 14-16 (In England, now only on triple science spec, but used to be on double spec). We will look at evidence for the Big Bang and that the universe is expanding. We will be covering and applying foundational waves knowledge to observations made in the last 100 years and explaining how our perspectives on the universe have changed, based on these observations.
We will also reflect on the newly released DOMAINS CPD videos on Space. In particular, we recommend you view the video ‘14-16 Cosmological Redshift‘. Colleagues may wish to indicate specific issues that they would like to discuss using the “additional requirements” box when booking to attend. Please feel free to bring along any questions you have.
