This session is part of the IOP DOMAINS online CPD programme and covers aspects of the quantum and nuclear domains. This session will look at the issues and possible misconceptions that can arise when teaching the radioactivity topic. There will be particular emphasis on helping students cope with the mathematics of logs and exponential decays. There will be ideas for demonstrations as well as hints and tips and worked examples.

We would also encourage you to have a look at some of the Post-16 DOMAINS CPD videos which together with these live online CPD sessions, form the IOP DOMAINS online CPD programme.
