This session is part of the IOP DOMAINS online CPD programme and covers aspects of electromagnetism including forces on wires and charged particles, electromagnetic induction and transformers. Worked examples will be used to illustrate some of the topics. The session will also include ideas for demonstrations and computer simulations that can help develop these difficult concepts and make teaching the topic more interactive.
We will also reflect on some of the Post-16 DOMAINS CPD videos and would encourage you to watch some before the session if you can. If there any specific issues that you would like to discuss during the session, please list them in the “additional requirements” box when booking to attend and we will do our best to address them. Alternatively, please feel free to bring along any questions you have.
