The Maths on Monday Series will cover a range of topics of use to all teachers of science who teach the physics component of GCSE science.

Session 02: Rearranging Equations (Liz Nourshargh)

In this session we will look at a variety of techniques that can be used to support students with the use of equations in GCSE Physics.  We will address the use of ‘The Triangle’, explain some of the ways in which students learn to rearrange equations in maths and suggest simple techniques to ensure that students show their working.

This session will last for 1 hour, with 45 minutes for the main presentation and 15 minutes for questions.

Next session: 12 October – Dealing with challenging GCSE questions (formerly “Nasty Maths”) with Mark Whalley
