Maths on Monday covers a range of topics for all teachers of GCSE Physics / Science. These fortnightly CPD sessions have been designed to support non-specialist teachers who wish to develop their understanding of the underlying Maths required by the GCSE specifications. In addition, Physics specialists will improve their understanding of why their students sometimes find the maths aspects of the course challenging.
Units and Quantities with Liz Nourshargh
Power or wattage? ampage or current? If your students sometimes muddle Physics units and quantities, come along to Maths on Monday on 9 May. We will look at the difference between units and quantities and show how a better understanding of Physics units can help when tackling calculation questions.
This session will last for 1 hour, with 45 minutes for the main presentation and 15 minutes for questions.
