The Maths on Monday Series will cover a range of topics of use to all teachers of science who teach the physics component of GCSE science.
Session 08: Graphs 1 (Liz Nourshargh)
I have never ceased to be amazed at the scales that some students manage to come up with when graph plotting. In our first Maths on Monday session on graphs, we will include some hints and tips to improve your students’ graphs. We will then look at the link between a graph and the equation of a straight line to find its gradient and intercept; this will be further developed in session 2 to solve problems in GCSE Physics.
This session will last for 1 hour, with 45 minutes for the main presentation and 15 minutes for questions.
Next session: 01 March 2021 – Equations of motion: SUVAT for GCSE with Mark Whalley
