Maths on Monday will cover a range of topics for all teachers of GCSE Physics / Science. These fortnightly CPD sessions have been designed to support non-specialist teachers who wish to develop their understanding of the underlying Maths required by the GCSE specifications. In addition, Physics specialists will improve their understanding of why their students sometimes find the maths aspects of the course challenging.
Session 09: Graphs 2 with Liz Nourshargh
Now that your students can plot accurate graphs, they can use them to solve problems in Physics. But how should they use them? Find the gradient? The tangent? Area under the curve? The intercept? In this session we will look at the different ways in which graphs can be used to solve problems in GCSE Physics including lots of examples.
This session will last for 1 hour, with 45 minutes for the main presentation and 15 minutes for questions.
Next session: 21 March 2022 – Dealing with Challenging GCSE Questions with Liz Nourshargh
All future events will be listed in the “Maths on Monday” TalkPhysics group HERE.
