Event categories:

This session is intended for all teachers who deliver physics to students aged 11 to 19 years.

In this session we will provide a brief introduction to the concept of Science Capital and how it can be used to increase engagement and participation in the science classroom. We will offer several examples of how this can be incorporated into the physics classroom. The session will end with an opportunity to put your questions to our coaches and Dr Heather King from the Science Capital team at UCL. The session is suitable for everyone who teaches physics, no prior knowledge of Science Capital is needed.

By the end of this session, you will have a basic idea about the Science Capital approach and have some ideas and resources that you can use straight away to start tweaking your lessons (live and online).
