Do equations fill your students with dread? Do you feel less happy when teaching equations in physics? Do you want to help colleagues develop their confidence in using and teaching equations? Then this CPD session could be just what you’re after. Rather than concentrating on algebra, we will look at how language can be effectively used to understand quantitative relationships and bypass equations (at least to start with!). This technique helps develop understanding and improve confidence, and it all starts with getting to grips with “per”.
This session is intended for all teachers, specialist and non-specialist, of students aged 11 to 16 years who teach some physics.
