This session is intended for all teachers of students aged 11 to 16 years.

2500 years of backstabbing, pranks and stringing up students – electricity has a deep and rich history, stuffed full of stories that can engage students and give them a rich perspective on how scientific knowledge develops.  In this session, we talk about some of the more replicable experiments from history, the development of the language around electricity and the pedagogic power of a ripping good yarn.

IOP NATIONAL EVENTS: For everyone involved in physics education in the UK and Ireland.
