We are disappointed that the annual Clifton Physics Teachers’ day will not now happen.  We are, though, able to offer an alternative as some of the workshop presenters will be running an online version of the session they were planning.  The times, titles and login details are listed below.  Please note, some may be added later.

09:30 Trevor Plant Energy – moving forward https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/333555277
09:30 Dan Cottle Maths for Physics https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/235589381
11:05 Liz Nourshargh Putting #CogSciSci into practice in the physics classroom https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/936956645
13:20 Joe Rowing Physics with Geogebra https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/992318525

If you are new to GoTo meetings, you may like to install this app before the meeting https://global.gotomeeting.com/install/333555277

Please note our coaches will have put the online version together at very short notice, so what you see on Friday may not look as “polished” as some presentations.  We are all learning new tricks at these times!

When you log in, please mute your microphone and do not turn on your webcam until the presenter asks you to.  This is to minimise the data needed and eliminate unwanted background noise.

All are welcome at this full day of training and workshops for anyone involved in teaching physics, whether specialists or not. There will be three sessions across the day, each with six workshops to choose from, with workshop topics from Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Lots of ideas to inspire your classroom practice, plus make-and-takes and sessions to get you thinking deeply about topics.

Our workshop presenters are experienced practitioners and CPD providers. There is also the chance to network with colleagues from across the region and to enjoy an interesting keynote on nanotechnology from Dr Annela Seddon, Associate Professor in Physics at the University of Bristol.

Cost: Free (Met by the Institute of Physics with generous support from Clifton College)
