Computer simulations are an invaluable way of helping pupils to visualise phenomena and conduct virtual experiments for themselves. In this session we will look at some of the online apps that form part of the University of Colorado’s PhET suite, with some suggestions for ways students may use them in school and at home.
Smart phones are packed with great tech including some very useful sensors. The Phyphox app taps into these and lets us record a range of data, lots of which we can use in school. In this session we will look at some practical and fun experiments you can do with Phyphox. You can find the Phyphox app in your app store. Those attending may like to install Phyphox before the session.
This session will be hosted by Steve Pearce and Brendan Ickringill.
