In the first session on Space we discussed the Earth, Moon and Sun system and how the relative motions have led us to our definitions of day, week, month, season and year. In this second session, we’ll look further and deeper; how can we use the light from stars to tell us how hot they are, how far away they are and how they will evolve. We’ll also look at evidence for an evolving Universe – red shift, CMBR as covered on many GCSE specs. This session is run by Graham Perrin (IOP) and Dorian Pascoe (IOP / National Space Academy).
