IOP Regional Physics Day for teachers on Saturday 12 March 2022 in Canterbury
The Canterbury Regional Physics Day is back for a fourth year and we will meet face-to-face, this year at Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School, a modern building, with good circulation, air conditioning, large classrooms and teaching spaces. All are warmly invited to this full day of training and workshops for all teachers of physics (whether specialist or not), ECTs, trainees and technicians. It’s free to attend, including lunch.
We hope the event will be ‘in-person’ but some sessions may be virtual due to Covid restrictions on the date of the event.
Who is this suitable for?
For everyone teaching and supporting physics including technicians, ECTs, NQTs and Trainees teaching age range 11–14 (KS3), 14-16 (KS4) and 16-18 (KS5) physics.
There will be sessions covering key physics topics for KS3, KS4 and KS5 with lots of hands-on practical activities and ideas for making your teaching even more engaging, all delivered by expert physics teacher trainers. It’s a chance to network with colleagues from across the region and find out about resources available locally. Whilst the programme is primarily designed with teachers in mind, technicians may benefit from the more practical workshops.
The full Programme flyer with session descriptions is available here. Make a note of your workshop choices and then register for the event at the bottom of this page.
