IOP Scholars now Early Career Teachers (ECTs) CPD Programme – Electricity (GCSE Separate / A-level)

This session is for those teachers who are currently first year ECTs and are former IOP scholars. This session will look at some of the more challenging aspects of the electricity topic in both the GCSE physics specification and post 16 work. Topics will include how to teach the basics of circuit theory, with particular emphasis on the understanding of series and parallel components, potential dividers and electric fields. There will be hints, tips, and teaching ideas to help make this difficult topic as engaging as possible. Hopefully there will be time set aside for discussion and delegates may submit questions or ideas for discussion ahead of the session.

This session is led by David Farley, IOP Teacher Support Coach

Please note, this event is only for IOP Physics Scholars training in the 2021-22 Academic Year or scholars who are now Early Career Teachers.
