This event, part of the IOP DOMAINS CPD series of events, will provide advice on undertaking common practical work to investigate the behaviour of light. It will look at underlying principles as well as pedagogical techniques to support learning through practical investigation. As this session is aimed at BGE content, all teachers of science are welcome, with non-physics specialists encouraged to participate.
Ahead of the event it may be useful, but is not vital, for participants to have watched some of the IOP DOMAINS Waves CPD videos on IOP Spark at https://spark.iop.org/waves-cpd-videos.
During the event there will be opportunities to ask questions about all of the procedures demonstrated and discussed, as well as to and raise any concerns you might have about teaching about light. Please note that Wave Properties, covered in the Waves Domain video collection, are not intended to be covered in this session, but attendees are most welcome to ask any questions on this in the Q&A at the end.
Registration for the event will close at lunchtime on the day of the event. Log-in details will be emailed to registered delegates on the day of the event. Please check junk mail folders if you have not received log-in details before the event. Contact [email protected] if you have a problem.
