This event is a follow-on event from that of 17 December 2020 where a brief summary of Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) was provided. Dylan Wiliam has stated that CLT is the single most important thing for a teacher to know. In this event parts of CLT will be explored in more depth, particularly how awareness of the Worked Example Effect can be used to improve teaching and learning.

Registration for the event will close at lunchtime on the day of the event. Log-in details will be emailed to registered delegates on the day of the event. Please check junk mail folders if you have not received log-in details before the event. Contact [email protected] if you have a problem.

This is the sixth in a series of events designed to improve the use of educational research in the teaching of physics. Links to resources and recordings of the previous events in this series can be found in the IOP Scotland Online CLPL Group on TalkPhysics.
