This edition of the regular series of events to support the teaching of Higher Physics will focus on some of the more difficult concepts in the Particles and Waves topic of Higher where quantum physics is first introduced in the Scottish curriculum. IOPS Physics Coaches and teachers experienced in teaching Higher Physics will provide support and guidance on the Higher Physics course. The event will focus primarily on topics recognised as being ones more difficult to teach and where pupils commonly hold misconceptions or find concepts difficult to grasp. There will be opportunities to ask questions, have open discuss and for more one-to-one support. These series of events will be of interest to teachers new to teaching Higher Physics but also those who want to develop their existing subject knowledge and range of methodologies for teaching Higher Physics.
Registration for the event will close at lunchtime on the day of the event. Log-in details will be emailed to registered delegates on the day of the event. Please check junk mail folders if you have not received log-in details before the event. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have a problem.
