This session will look at ways to teach Momentum and how it can be related to Newton’s Second Law. We then look at how the Law of Conservation of Momentum can be understood and related to Newton’s Third Law. We then get going with calculations, first using the Law of Conservation of Momentum and sometimes the kinetic energy equation to solve more difficult problems. More calculations follow with the suvat (or xuvat) equations of motion. Finally, we turn, literally, to stop making things move and start making them rotate, with the Principle of Moments.

All are welcome e.g. Teachers (physics specialists and non-specialists), NQT’s etc. and it is a good opportunity to see what other teachers are doing in these unusual times.

Booking is essential, A link will be sent prior to the event.
