Science capital is a concept that can help us understand patterns in science participation – why some people engage with science and others do not. The Science Capital Teaching Approach is designed to support teachers in helping students find more meaning and relevance in science and, as a result, engage more with the subject. We will be looking at the work of Louise Archer and her team at the Institute of Education, UCL and Kings and discussing how we can apply it in the classroom. We will be particularly focusing on forces, so please do bring any good examples of where you have used everyday contexts in forces along. Look forward to seeing you there!
