SPN Physics Day at Dulwich College

SPN Physics Day at Dulwich College is a full day of training and workshops for teachers of Physics and science technicians.

The course is run, organised and funded by the IOP’s Stimulating Physics Network, supported by Dulwich College and the University of Hertfordshire. It is free to teachers, technicians and trainees.

9.15 – 9.45 Registration and refreshments

9.45 – 9.55 Welcome – Brief introduction to SPN, the school and today’s programme

10.00 – 11.10 Workshop 1, choose from Waves and the Electromagnetic Spectrum, Isaac Physics, Magnetism and Electromagnetism, Radioactivity (KS4/5)

11.15 – 12.25 Workshop 2, choose from Circuit Training (KS3), GCSE Core Practicals (KS4), A Level Practicals (KS5), Force and Motion (KS3/4)

12.25 – 13.10 Lunch

13.15 – 14.25 Workshop 3, chose from Earth and Space (KS3), GCSE Core Practicals (2nd part), A Level Practicals (2nd part), Forces and Dynamics (KS4/5)

14.30 – 15.40 Workshop 4, choose from Fault-Finding Electric Circuits (KS3/4), Do Physics (KS3/4), Engaging Physics, Whole school Equality (All KS)

15.45 – 16.15 Evaluations and farewells
