The 15th Annual East Midlands Network Day on Saturday 5 March in Leicester at Rushey Mead Academy – suitable for anyone teaching or supporting physics

The IOP is delighted to be planning a face-to-face Regional Day at Rushey Mead Academy in Leicester. The day will include a keynote lecture, a selection of interactive workshops to choose from, plenty of networking opportunities, exhibitor stands, lunch and refreshments. There is no charge to attend the day.

Who is this suitable for?

For everyone teaching and supporting Physics including ECTs, NQTs, Trainees and Technicians. Teaching age range 11–14 (KS3), 14-16 (KS4) and 16-18 (KS5) physics.

We hope the event will be ‘in-person’ at Rushey Mead Academy, but some sessions may be virtual due to Covid restrictions.

Workshops for Technicians (Teachers can attend these, but priority will be given to Technicians): Alternative approaches to specific heat capacity; What’s on my Electricity Trolley?; Ultrasonic Transducers Make & Take.

Booking for this event is currently postponed due to the current COVID19 levels circulating.  We are considering options available to us and hope to update this page shortly.
