The IOP has been closely monitoring the evolution of risks associated with Covid-19 (also known as Coronavirus) both domestically and internationally.
People’s health and wellbeing is our number one priority, including visitors to our events across the UK and Ireland. We also want to play our part in helping to slow the spread of the virus.
In light of recent developments, the IOP has taken the decision to cancel all face to face events until the end of May, including this non-specialist workshop. We are investigating the option of providing some workshops remotely on the day and will be in touch as soon as we have some more information.
If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
This course is aimed mainly at the requirements for teaching about matter and materials at KS3 and early KS4. It will suit all science teachers, especially those for whom physics is not their first discipline. The course will look at how the concepts develop across the key stage to ensure pupils are properly prepared for KS4. There will be suggested teaching exercises and pupil practical activities that support a good understanding of the topic
