We’ll look at the materials covered in the non specialists courses ie issues, including misconceptions, which hinder learning about electricity and some teaching approaches to address them. There will be opportunities to try out practical activities and electronic simulations which can enhance the teaching of electricity.
We’ll consider how we might support colleagues in schools teaching this topic. We’ll compare the different ways in which required practicals relating to electricity, are taught in different schools and so disseminate best practice.
