( I mean by that I work for the Physics Dept but don’t have a degree in thesubject) I did mean to speak to her and suggest a possible reason why Lord Kelvin would say in 1900 that there was nothing more to discover in Physics just more accurate measurements to be taken. In 1900 Lord Kelvin was in business with a Mr White and was a leading manufacturer of scientific measuring equipment, the company they founded is now known as Kelvin Hughes.
