I tried this one with a plant sprayer. You can purchase them for around £2. Mine had not been previously had any chemicals in it, just soapy water for the greenfly.

I have always like images of dispersion from the water droplets expelled from a wales blowhole.

Another way of making rainbows is with a large glass sphere. I use a round bottom flask. This is how the rainbow was first studied many centuries ago.

I often think that we teach students that the spectrum is on the screen, when we should explain how it is in all the intervening space. I use a piece of selenite to show this.

 

This is a capacitance electronic disk CED. It is a failed form of video disk that works on capacitance. However Its surface gives excellent dispersion.
